Satellite Symposia
International Symposium on Musical Acoustics (ISMA)
International Symposium on Room Acoustics (ISRA)
Two satellite symposia will be held in conjunction with the joint ASA/ICA meeting, the International Symposium on Musical Acoustics (ISMA), chaired by Andrew Piacsek, and the International Symposium on Room Acoustics (ISRA), chaired by David Woolworth, combined into a single joint symposium named the International Symposium on Musical and Room Acoustics (ISMRA). The joint ISMRA symposium will be held immediately following the joint ASA/ICA meeting Sunday through Wednesday, May 25-28, at Loyola University. The New Orleans Marriott and Loyola University are connected by the historic St. Charles Avenue Streetcar. A half-day workshop on Saturday, May 24 may also be scheduled, which will require separate registration.
Joint ISMA/ISRA sessions will be held on the first day, and on subsequent days ISMA and ISRA will hold parallel sessions but with combined social events. Inexpensive dormitory accommodations are being arranged at Loyola University for those who prefer to be onsite. Other nearby hotel accommodations are available in the Milan and Touro districts along the streetcar route.
Additional information will be available soon on the ISMRA website ismra2025.org. The technical program and other details will be available at the end of the summer.
